LESSON: PD in Practice
We gathered some of our Teaching Artists for half day Professional Development session which provided our TA's with an opportunity to network and share some of the challenges and triumphs they experience in the classroom. After dividing in small groups, we gave the artists a scenario to act out offering both the problem and the possible solutions. Watch above as this group explores the following:
A student who is an English language learner has trouble following your lesson conducted by the teaching artist in class. Maybe you’ve noticed that the student has had trouble participating over the last few lessons. What would you do to help that student participate meaningfully in your class?
